Something lives here.

This is an ordinary image search with an image-eating parasite in it.

Release it. It finds pictures, draws them into its body, then returns a new image after every five meals. Move close and it may recoil.

The creature uses the original patchwork engine, blending and rearranging fragments of the images it eats. No image-generation service is involved. Sound is off until you switch it on.

Search is powered by Wikimedia Commons. Click an image to see its source, author and licence. “Your images” adds local files; those files stay in this browser.

Paste a website address into the search box and it will feed on that site instead: the page’s pictures are fetched through a public read proxy and an image proxy, nothing is stored, and the rights stay with the site. Some sites block this; the bookmarklet below works on any page you can open.

Take it to another webpage
